Why Salty Souls Yoga ?

We outgrew our small NW St Pete studio space and we invite our students into the new and modern space of the West Events Venue.  This welcoming atmosphere with plenty of space is located along Gulf Blvd on Madeira Beach and has become our new home in 2021.  We also offer several outdoor classes regularly on the beautiful gulf beaches, at Sacred Lands Preservation and Education and several other locations.

Our studio is a no-judgement zone and a place for anyone to learn more about maintaining balance and peace between your mind, body and soul.

All experience levels of yoga welcome.

Please text or call me at 727-459-9178 if you have questions about taking a yoga class.  We want to convey our studios' purpose in providing yoga classes for beginners and intermediate students that will meet your specific needs. Private classes and workshops are available and affordable too for those that desire a more specialized experience.

Our Approach

To welcome anyone wanting to try yoga.  Even if they had a bad first yoga experience, or had too much anxiety to even walk in the door of dedicated yoga studio.

Discuss the goals and benefits of enhancing the yoga practice with anyone coming to yoga as they seek more balance in their life.

To help everyone build a personal yoga practice around their life routine that will help them reach new levels of health, flexibility, fitness, and relaxation.

We share our wisdom with each other, our joy when others are feeling down, and lift each other up when stressed push you down.

My Story

I had taken yoga classes periodically for 15 years, but at 43, my body had put on weight despite lots of gym circuit training and organic foods in my diet.  I was feeling terrible both physically and mentally.

A friend told me about a yoga certification that really boosted her depth of understanding of yoga.  I signed up and after intensive classes of yoga training, reading, teaching, studying and detoxification, I came out a different person.  It was then I knew, I was just beginning my path into yoga.

I shared my experiences with friends and neighbors that couldn’t help but notice the difference in me.  Without intention, I was on a path to share and give back from my eye opening experience and open my own small yoga studio in St Petersburg, FL.  Most of the studios in the area I had attended were for high level yoga practitioners.  These groups focused on the pose accuracy and flexibility instead of combining the mental and physical benefits that everyone deserved.  Above all, I wanted to share this with the beginners of yoga since these advanced classes were intimidating and made it tough to break thru their own personal barriers to trying yoga.

I’ve continued my own pursuit of extensive training and learning toward the physical, spiritual and mental understanding of the yoga practice.  I’ve brought in several yoga instructors with years of their own experience and personality, but always with a goal of being accessible to everyone.
